Congratulations to all of the young writers who entered The Dear 2020 Project in Lewisham. Watch the video below to find out who won in each age group!
We need to talk…
Dear 2020 Project is a writing competition for young people aged 11-25 in Lewisham.
If you could speak to the year 2020, what would you say?
We challenge you to write a letter of no more than one side of A4 directly to the year 2020.
What are you thankful for?
What are you angry, or confused, about?
What questions would you like 2020 to answer?
Perhaps you’d like to offer it some advice?
Your letter can take any form you like- it can be fictional or based on your own experiences, written from any perspective and can use prose or poetry. You can type or handwrite your letter and you are welcome to illustrate or decorate it.
Creative thinking is encouraged- you can interpret the challenge however you wish!
The competition is open to anyone aged 11-25 who lives, works or studies in Lewisham. See the full rules here.
There are three age groups: 11-13, 14-17 and 18-25.
The competition closes at 11:59pm on Friday 9th October 2020.
